Zoom lecture with Mari Felipe: Dionysian Poiesis & Encountering otherness: the potential for DEI growth using EXA

NIKUT invites you to an interesting free lecture with Mari Felipe on November 24th, from 17.00 – 19.00 CET on Zoom, about trauma from an expressive arts perspective.

Mari Felipe NIKUT

Mari is a Brazilian woman of color living in Canada, on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples, also known as Vancouver, where she works as a trauma therapist, group facilitator, and counselor in private practice. She is an Expressive Arts Therapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and is completing her Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) at the European Graduate School (EGS).

In both her professional and personal life, Mari has always been deeply engaged in exploring identity and belonging within the context of marginalization and oppression in a globalized world. Passionate about art, culture, and society, she focuses on healing and decolonizing her own practices, striving to contribute to social justice through her work and way of being in the world.

In this experiential presentation, Mari will explore key elements of the Expressive Arts Therapy approach, highlighting how a Dionysian Poiesis «Attitude», the liminal experience, and Wu-Wei (The Tao of Poiesis) can foster growth in intercultural contexts.
